The brief
Where it started
A North Vancouver forest solutions company needed its workspace to do several jobs at once: hold formal meetings, give people quiet places to focus and keep the main area relaxed enough that the team wants to be there. It also had to feel like their brand the moment you walk in.

3 decisions, and why I made them.
01Zones, not one big roomAn enclosed meeting room takes formal conversations out of the open area, so the main space can stay casual. Small side offices give people a door to close for focused work.02The brand on the wallA misty forest mural, wood-stump side tables and warm, natural colours bring the company’s world into the space without a single logo doing the work.03Room to growWe’re also exploring whether part of the space could work as a shared workspace for others in the industry, and the layout keeps that option open.
