A Vancouver interior designer for homes that actually work

I’m Samena Hart. I’ve been designing Vancouver homes since 2009, from Kitsilano character houses to East Van kitchens and Mount Pleasant condos: renovations, new builds, single rooms and furnishing, all designed and rendered before anything is built.

Local, honest, and designed before it’s built.

Designing for how Vancouver builds

Local homes come with local rules. Knowing them early saves time and money.

01Vancouver Specials + character homesLow ceilings, split levels and dated layouts. I design with the house, not against it, so the update feels like it belongs. You get · a plan that fits the house02Strata + condo rulesMany buildings need strata approval before work starts. A finished design means you know exactly what you’re asking them to approve. You get · a clear ask03Your contractor + permitsBigger changes often need a City of Vancouver permit. Once your design is final, I work with your contractor as they take it through pricing, permits and the build. You get · one design, carried through
